Fathers and kids

Dad and kid training: train together

Lead by example and make training something you share. You get your own strength plan, and your child gets age-appropriate movement and play, so fitness becomes a family habit.

How it works

  • Your strength block keeps you in the best shape of your life.
  • Their movement block builds coordination, confidence and a love of being active.
  • Together sessions turn the weekend into something you both look forward to.

Kids' sessions are play-based and age-appropriate. They focus on movement and fun, never heavy lifting.

Workouts to try at home

  • Animal walks (bear crawl, crab walk, frog jumps)
  • Partner squats and wall sits, with a few seconds of cheering
  • Obstacle course in the backyard or living room
  • Throw and catch with a soft ball, adding a squat before each catch
  • A family walk or bike ride, with sprints between mailboxes

Safety first

  • Keep it fun. Do not push kids to lift heavy or train to exhaustion.
  • Match activities to their age and ability, and warm up first.
  • If your child has a health condition, ask their pediatrician before starting.

Your own training matters too. Start with the free push/pull/legs plan or build muscle after 40. Available in person in Las Vegas or online.

Frequently asked questions

What age can my child start?

Play-based movement is appropriate for most ages. Keep it age-appropriate and fun, and ask your child's pediatrician if you are unsure.

Do my kids lift weights?

No. Kids' sessions focus on movement, play and body-weight activities, not heavy lifting.

Can I train even if my kids are not there?

Yes. You can train on your own, and bring your kids to the together sessions when you like.
